The limits of public guidance, assessments, and CMMC readiness advice.

Effective and last updated: September 30, 2026

1. General information, individual circumstances

Christine Moffett LLC shares professional perspectives on technology, operations, cybersecurity, AI governance, leadership, transactions, and compliance readiness. Public content is educational and informational. It is not an individualized assessment, legal opinion, financial recommendation, assurance opinion, or certification decision.

Recommendations for a particular organization require an agreed scope and information about that organization. An article or template cannot establish that a system, policy, contract, or business meets a requirement.

2. CMMC credentials and independence

Christine Moffett holds the Cyber AB CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP) designation and is working toward Certified CMMC Assessor credentials. RP is an individual practitioner designation; it is not an organizational CMMC certification and does not make this business an authorized third-party certification assessment organization.

Current services described on this site are readiness consulting, gap analysis, policy and evidence preparation, and advisory support. Formal certification assessments and certification decisions must be performed through the applicable authorized assessment process. Independent-assessment and conflict-of-interest requirements must be respected. No readiness engagement guarantees a certification, score, government approval, contract award, or assessment outcome.

3. Requirements and responsibilities

Applicable CMMC level, scope, assessment type, standards version, contract terms, and data-handling requirements depend on the organization and its obligations. Clients remain responsible for accurate representations, scope and data classification, required affirmations or submissions, implementation, and ongoing compliance. Do not assume a generic checklist covers your contractual requirements.

Cybersecurity and technology assessments are limited by their agreed scope, the evidence and access available, sampling, timing, and assumptions. They do not promise that every vulnerability, control weakness, or business risk will be found or that a future incident cannot occur.

4. Board, transaction, and AI advisory

An advisory conversation or contract does not itself appoint Christine to a board or corporate office, create an audit opinion, or replace counsel, regulated investment advice, accounting diligence, engineering validation, or management’s responsibilities. AI-related recommendations require review for the use case, data, people, and operating environment.

5. Examples, results, and updates

Recommendations, testimonials, and career examples reflect particular experiences. Results differ by organization, resources, decisions, and execution. Content may become outdated. Refer to current authoritative sources and your signed engagement agreement. Third-party names or standards references do not imply their endorsement.
